7 Google Chrome Extensions to Make You More Efficient

This summer, Google Chrome became the most popular web browser in the world; beats the Microsoft IE browser, according to StatCounter.

Chrome’s success is largely due to its speed, security, and flexible address bar. Since September 2008, Chrome released more than 20 versions to improve their products, in order to obtain a good user experience and a good reputation effect. By contrast, Microsofts spends five years to upgrade from IE6 to IE 7, thanks to the competition with Google now IE10 appears.

In addition to these core strengths, Chromes extension of the large cache is another great park. Be honest, sometimes were not as efficient as we need to be at work. Then you may needs plenty of Chrome extensions to help you to be more focus on work, Here are a few of which I like best.

1.Rapportive:  When you enter an email address into Gmail, it will pull up the recipients LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter accounts in a sidebar, with recent tweets, photo, work history, and any past email correspondence between the two of you. It suit for people those who are in sales, business development, public relations or other fields.

2. Boomerang: This allows you to schedule emails to be sent at a later time or date. It is extremely useful when you are going to have a vacation. It also allows you to save template replies for quick messages later.  I know weve all sent the same information multiple times to that same person before.

3. Chrome to Mobile: Chrome to Mobile allows you to send webpages on your computer to your Chrome browser on other devices like tablets or smartphones. It’s an easy way to take information from your desktop or laptop and instantly transfer it to a mobile device. ther devices like tablets or smartphones. 4. Explain and Send Screenshots: Pretty self-explanatory, but how cool is this?  You can take a Lcdshot and then edit it with text and color to get your point across.  You can also save it as a file or receive a URL to share on Social Media.

5. PanicButton:  It is a great app to have when you need to quickly hide all of your tabs. With one single click, a user can hide all open tabs, and with another click, restore all tabs.

Fix Your Profile Could Not Be Opened Correctly Chrome

Google Chrome Web Browser has started to show a strange message like this.

Your profile could not be opened correctly

Users who have upgraded the Chrome are seeing this message every time they launch the browser. Google is trying to fix the problem and they are asking users to share more information on Chrome Help Page.

Troubleshooting:

As of now, it seems creating new profile is the best available solution. However, there are some serious problems if you follow this step. The topmost concern is your data. You can lose all of them including autofill and history. If you have not saved bookmarks, you can also lose them. Then, there is no guarantee that this solution will work perfectly for you. Many users have reported that even after creating new user profile, this error came back to haunt them as they restart the computer.

Whatever, this seems to be only solution at this moment.

Windows users can follow these steps to create a new user profile:

  1. Close Google Chrome completely.
  2. Click START and go to RUN.
  3. Enter following directories in the RUN Box and press enter

- For windows XP: %USERPROFILE%Local SettingsApplication DataGoogleChromeUser Data

- For Windows 7 and Windows Vista: %LOCALAPPDATA%GoogleChromeUser Data

  1. Now you are required to look for DEFAULT in the directory. Open it and rename it to “Back Up Default”.
  2. You are done. When you open the Google Chrome a new DAFAULT directory will be created for you. You can also transfer your data from old directory to this new. But, Google don’t recommend this.

If nothing is working, this solution can come handy. Majority of users did get success through it. Try it and see what’s Google is going to offer in the coming months.

A different approach:

Following steps can also help you to get rid of this problem.

  1. Go to START>Control Paneland there select APPEARANCE AND PERSONALIZATION. Click Folder Option
  2. In the Folder Option you are required to click on VIEW tab. Then select SHOW HIDDENFILES AND FOLDERS. ClickOK.
  3. All hidden files and folders should now be available for manipulation.
  4. Go to this location in your computer

C:Users{username}AppDataLocalGoogleChromeUser DataDefault

Change username with the username of your computer.

You will find WEB DATA there. Just delete the web data.

Launch Google Chrome. You will not find any irritating error message.

Best Google Chrome Extensions to Enhance Your Web Browsing Experience

Google Chrome Internet browser was released on September 2008 which has not wasted a single moment in dominating the web world. People loves to browse the web every time to know something new. Google is very good at understanding the users essential requirements. To take care of their needs, Google often offer various innovations to satisfy them via creative technology.
Also FireFox,Opera, IE and Safari has already got good reviews, but still Chrome continues to retain its Crown. It is because of its security features with updates. In this post, Im going to express some of the best Google Chrome extensions.

Chromium Wheel Smooth Scroller

While reading online, whenever you scroll down a web page by pressing Page Down keyboard button or by scrolling mouse wheel, it wont be pleasant to your eyes since, you may get skipped to another line. In FireFox, it comes with smooth scroll by default. Now its the time to turn ON the fluid flow scrolling feature by adding a simple Chromium Wheel Smooth Scroller plugin. After you have installed this extension, start to browse the new web page or refresh the current page; you will definitely feel like you are driving a car.

Google Dictionary(by Google)

Dictionary is one of the best tool to learn a foreign language. Google Dictionary is very simple to use. With this extension you can explore the following 3 awesome features:
  • Double-click on any word to view its synonym, meaning and definition in a small pop-up bubble.
  • Select a word, then click the Google Dictionary tool, (right to the omni box search bar. i.e the toolbar) to view the complete definition.
  • Store the history of words you look up to practice those words later on. To do that simply right-click the plugin in the tool bar, then choose options to configure it.
Many languages were supported by this extension. So, there is no need to download separate dictionary software program for each languages.

Panic Button

Panic Button is very helpful in case if you want to hide multiple tabs instantaneously. You just need to do a single click on this extension. Afterwards, the Panic Buttons colour turns from red to green and it also shows you how many tabs were hidden currently. The tabs are then saved as bookmarks in a separate folder. Again if you do a click on this extension, it completely restores all the hidden tabs at high speed. If you dont wish to restore all the tabs, then delete the temporary panic folder in Chromes other bookmarks folder. You can also put a password, hence no one can restore the tabs other than you. Therefore, it prevents other users from spying you. It also allows you to hide and restore the tabs by using keyboard short cut. The default short-cut key is F4. You may also change the short-cut key by configuring the Panic Button extension.

Turn OFF the Lights

Turn OFF the Lights is a beautiful extension which is specially made for the users who loves to watch videos online. If you are watching the videos without switching to full screen mode, then use this extension. It makes the background darker which will surely delights your eyes by giving theatre effect. It requires one click mod to Turn Off/On the lights.
