Samsung reportedly bringing Android Wear powered smartwatches at Google I O

We are just days behind this years Google I/O Developers Conference, and this time there is some hot news coming in for our dedicated Samsung aficionados. The South Korean manufacturing giant is reportedly preparing to introduce couple of Android Wear powered wearables at this years Googles I/O or the Americans 2014 Annual Developers Conference, about to kick-off from San Francisco, California, United States.

c|net was able to contact some people who is familiar with this matter and they were told that, the company has got two new smartwatches that will run the new Googles wearable platform, Android Wear, and the Koreans are said to allegedly bring the purported devices at this years Google I/O event, between the dates of 25th and 26th of this month. The upcoming smartwatches from Samsung are said to be much like their lately announced Gear smartwatches, that powered the companys own Tizen operating system.

Accordingly, Samsung has been working on smartwatches that will use the firms own chips (may be the Exynos variant?) and also on a different model that will have Qualcomm powered processor, as reported by the spokesperson from Samsung. It is not yet clear, on which of these aforementioned models will make it to this years Google I/O event from this consumer electronics maker. Lamentably, Samsung has declined to make any kind of comments on their looming Android Wear project, but definitely made a note of this, "committed to relentless innovation and new products are always in development." We are also reading that, Samsungs new smartwatches will be given to the Google I/O attendees, as said by a separate person.

In the past when we reported you about the announcement of the new Android Wear operating system for wearables from Google, it also mentioned "Samsungs" name in the list of manufactures that will be announcing Android Wear powered smartwatches later this year.

Also from a previous leak, it is rumored that LG will too showcase their G Watch at the approaching Google Annual Developers Conference event, along with Motorolas Moto 360 smartwatch.

LG outs the new Android powered Wine Smart flip phone in South Korea

LG Electronics have announced a new refreshment to their outdated Wine series of phones from 2007, official from their homeland of business yesterday, named as the brand new LG Wine Smart. The new handset is surprisingly a flip phone, yet being very interesting in its hardware, which found a lots of love between the mobile phone users in the previous decades (we are talking a time when Android was a dream for Andy Rubin), and it is also expected to find some interest between more mature users seeking in to the smartphone category, than the young consumers from the market. The device is pretty similar to Samsungs SW2014, unveiled last year.

It is widely believed that, the phone manufacturer is reportedly targeting a number of elderly customers, who are not very familiar using conventional LCD touchscreen from a smartphone, with their latest announcement, in confederation with Googles mobile operating system, Android. The unit also introduces the industrys first, "Kakao Talk", which is the dedicated physical buttons below the 3.5-inches LCD screen. Basically, to select an application from the new smartphone, all you need to do is press on the physical navigation buttons to move the cursor towards the desired app on the phone, or just tap the application from the screen like any other Android powered smartphone from the bazaar.

LG has also implemented their new user-friendly proprietary UX, specially designed for people with less visibility. Indeed, the phone will feature three large horizontal lines on the screen, for the list of applications and widgets, and vertical three lines with the ability to arrange them accordingly. The app icon as well as the fonts on screen will appear larger than usual, which is another impressive fact of the new user interface incorporated. The new Wine Smart will attribute a high power 1W speaker, which sounds loud beeps when a call is received, that is written even to be heard in those obstreperous and noisy surroundings. For more, theres the new "Safe Keeper" key feature, that will send the location information to a pre-set mobile number, if the phone is kept unused for a long time. You can also find an LED light for notifications on the bottom front left side.

In terms of the specifications, the new LG Wine Smart will come out of the box with a 1.2GHz speeding Quad-Core processor, aforementioned 3.5-inches screen of 480 x 320 resolution display, four gigabytes of internal memory storage (expandable via microSD card slot), one gigabyte of Random Access Memory, an eight megapixels main camera on the back along with a VGA secondary front facer, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 and 4G LTE network connectivity support, a 1,700mAh powered removable battery and runs Androids version 4.4 KitKat, topped with LGs own customized UX. The handset will be made available in South Korea starting from 26th of this month, September, launching in both Black and White color options, measured at 118.6 x 59.4 x 16.9 millimeters in dimensions and weighs about 140.8 grams on mass.
